Ventaris Dryer Vent Cleaning ServiceWinchester, CA

Who We Are

We're a dryer vent cleaning company based in Winchester, CA. We've worked this area long enough to know the neighborhoods, the housing stock, and the kinds of calls that come in regularly.

Winchester sits in the middle of the 1995–2015 tract boom that built out Temecula, Murrieta, Menifee, French Valley, Wildomar and Beaumont. That means two-story floorplans with the laundry room upstairs in the bedroom hall, or in an interior closet with no exterior wall at all. Those vents run through a wall cavity into the attic, then 20 to 35 feet horizontally with two to four elbows before they reach a roof jack or a gable-end termination. We also work the older stock around Hemet, San Jacinto, Perris, Sun City, older Lake Elsinore and rural Mead Valley, single-story ranch and manufactured housing, laundry in the garage or a back-wall utility closet, short runs of 4 to 10 feet straight through the exterior wall. Those are quick jobs, except the duct is frequently still the original flexible foil or vinyl, crushed flat behind the appliance. Two different houses, two different problems. The long attic run is the one that hides what it's doing.

Hot dry air dries clothes fast when the duct is clear, which hides degradation. Owners rarely notice until cycles double. By then the usual culprits are lint plus fine valley dust pulled in around the roof cap, bird or wasp nesting in roof and sidewall terminations during the long warm season, or the December–February attic condensation that cements lint to the duct walls into something a shop vac won't touch. Most of our calls here are long upstairs runs that have gone two or three years, dryers that shut off mid-cycle, a laundry room that's hotter than the hall, and birds in a roof jack with no damper left. The crew brings a rotary brush on a drive line long enough to reach the termination, a vacuum at the dryer end to catch what comes back, and an anemometer. We read airflow at the hood before we start and again when we're done, so there's a number on both ends instead of a feeling. We disconnect the dryer, clean the transition, brush the full run, clear the termination, check the damper, and reconnect. We work behind every common gas and electric dryer, stacked units in closets included.

Sometimes we read good airflow at the hood, pull the transition, and find a duct that doesn't need brushing yet. We say so and we don't charge for work we didn't do. What we do flag is duct that can't stay: foil or vinyl in a garage wall, a crushed section behind the appliance, a disconnected joint dumping lint into an attic. Those become a repair or a rerun, and a laundry closet with no exterior wall sometimes needs a proper new vent path rather than another cleaning. As for cost, the attic runs move the number: length, how many elbows, whether the termination is a roof jack that needs ladder work, and whether there's nesting or cemented lint up there instead of loose debris. A garage wall run of eight feet is not the same job as 30 feet through a bedroom-hall ceiling. If you're not sure which one you have, an inspection answers it before anyone commits to anything.

Our service area

We cover Winchester and the surrounding towns. If you're in one of these areas and have a dryer vent cleaning problem, call us. We usually get out the same day.

When is a dryer vent worth cleaning, and when is it worth replacing?

We answer that after we see the duct, not on the phone. Two things decide it: what the duct is made of, and how hard it is to reach. Southwest Riverside County grew in two waves, and the dryer venting reflects it.

Pre-1990 stock is the easier call. Hemet, San Jacinto, Perris, Sun City, older Lake Elsinore and rural Mead Valley are mostly single-story ranch and manufactured housing. Laundry sits in the garage or a back-wall utility closet. Runs are short, often 4-10 ft straight through the exterior wall. But the duct is often still original flexible foil or vinyl, crushed flat behind the appliance. Crushed foil does not clean. We say replace, in rigid metal, and we say it plainly.

The 1995-2015 tract homes argue the other way. Winchester, French Valley, Menifee, Murrieta, Wildomar and Beaumont put laundry upstairs or in an interior closet. The duct climbs a wall cavity, then runs 20-35 ft across the attic with two to four elbows to a roof jack or gable end. Replacing that means attic work and roof work. Cleaning almost always wins. We rework only collapsed or disconnected sections.

Terminations are the exception. Bird and wasp nesting in roof and sidewall caps during the long warm season, plus fine valley dust, often means the cap is the real problem. Hot dry air hides all of it until cycles double.
